- Ph.D in Formal Security Analyses of 5G Security Protocols in Different Threat Models, University of Surrey, 2019-2023 (expected)
Ph.D Description
The forthcoming 5th generation of mobile networks (5G) makes a revolutionary promise: higher capacity and connectivity at greater speeds. In a systematic fashion, this project will undertake the formal security & privacy analysis of 5G-systems against 5G-driven security risks.
Work experience
- 2022: Visiting Researcher - British Telecom (BT)
- Development first proof of concept of the NEF AKMA capability within a 5G testbed using C, JSON, Python and networking technologies.
- Working with other vendors in an Agile environment and alongside researchers to help aid and create standards with partners within 3GPP and GSMA.
- 2017-2019: Junior Data Analyst Developer - SAIL Databank
- Development and research on the SAIL Databank which is a world-class solution for sourcing, accessing, linking and analysing health and population data.
- Working with other developers in creating an encryption tool to ensure the safety and security of the nations health and population data.
- Handling and manipulating datasets which would often consist of hundreds of millions data records.
- 2015-2018 Junior Web Developer - Halfords(Performance Cycling)
- Development of a web applications company projects, written in C#, using JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
- Working with other developers in an Agile environment to complete project goals.
- Legacy systems development using tools such as VB6 which furthered my understanding of problem solving as these projects lacked documentation of modern solutions.
